Pieretto Wins on English Premiership Debut

Argentine tight head prop, Enrique Pieretto had a winning start to his career playing in the English Premiership. He made his debut against the most successful team in English Premiership history, the Leicester Tigers. Exeter were the visitors and came away with a 31-22 victory.

In the match Pieretto was a replacement. He came on to play opposite another former Jaguar, Facundo Gigena. With both men being from Córdoba it was a special moment. They faced off in a scrum with Gigena getting the better of Pieretto in winning a penalty.

Also involved in the match was Tomás Lavanini. He had an excellent performance, ticking all the boxes of a second-rower. He was surrounded by a host of English internationals back from RWC duty and, yet the Tigers were beaten.

The Leicester Tigers are having a poor season and face relegation. They are heading into christmas at crisis point and must turn their efforts now into focusing on nothing other than remaining in the English Premiership.
