RUNY signs Super Rugby veteran Kara Pryor

Rugby United New York have signed veteran Super Rugby flanker Kara Pryor for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old arrives on the back of six New Zealand provincial campaigns, four seasons of Super Rugby, and three appearances for the Māori All Blacks.

Pryor began his professional career with Auckland in 2013 but moved to Northland the following year, where he would stay through the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup season. He earned Super Rugby selection to the Blues in 2016 and played three seasons before suiting up with the Sunwolves in 2019.

Both he and older brother Dan have represented the Māori. A spot on the 2016 November tour saw Pryor starting against the USA at Soldier Field and coming off the bench against Munster. He was a replacement against the British & Irish Lions in 2017 but missed out on the tour to Canada and France due to injury.
