Argentina to host France and Italy in July 2020

Argentina are to play host to France and Italy in the July 2020 Internationals. The home series will be the first time for Los Pumas to play test rugby since their early exit from RWC 2019.

France will tour Argentina, competing against the South Americans in a two match series. Italy will play against Los Pumas in one match. The venues for the three matches remain unconfirmed.

The July Internationals are the annual mid-year internationals which as of 2020 have moved from June to July. This will enable professional competitions to conclude before the international window.

The Rugby Championship will follow the July Internationals while the end of year tour to Europe will continue as normal in November. For the time being Argentina has confirmed matches against Scotland, and England.

France’s two matches against Los Pumas in July are expected to be their only dates in the Americas. Italy, meanwhile, is expected to play further matches. Uruguay is seeking to secure a home match against the Azzurri in July while both Canada and the USA are expected to announce one home match each against Italy with the games falling July 4 and 11, 2020.
