Seawolves re-sign second row Taylor Krumrei

The Seattle Seawolves have extended the contract of Taylor Krumrei through the 2020 Major League Rugby season. It will be the third campaign for the 27-year-old second row, who has played a significant role for the club in each of their two championship-winning campaigns.

A University of Oregon graduate, Krumrei played four seasons with the Ducks before joining the Seattle Saracens. In 2017 he spent four months in New Zealand with the Te Awamutu club in the Waikato Premier Division. The experience paid off with selection to the USA Selects for the 2018 Americas Pacific Challenge.

Krumrei made the jump from the Saracens to the Seawolves ahead of the inaugural 2018 MLR season. He started all 10 games for Seattle that year, and this past year managed a dozen games including six starts as competition for spots increased with the additions of Api Naikatini, Brad Tucker, and Samu Manoa.
