Argentina Down Fiji in Dubai

Argentina downed Fiji in Dubai earlier today. The result handed Fiji their first loss in nine years of pool play at the Dubai Sevens. For Argentina the 24-21 win ended a long drought of nine straight losses against the Pacific Islanders. There is little time to celebrate as Los Pumas 7’s will face Japan in their next match today.

The win over Fiji came from a quickly taken penalty from Santiago Álvarez Fourcade. He combined with Marcos Moroni who touched down for the score in what was the final play of the match.
