Uruguay name squad for Seven de la República

Rugby World Cup center Agustín Della Corte headlines the Uruguay squad to participate in this weekend’s Seven de la República at Paraná. The international side will compete against Argentina’s top provincial sides in the competition.

Veteran Teros scrumhalf Guillermo Lijtenstein leads the group that also contains capped winger Ignacio García. A number of recent Teritos graduates are named including promising flanker James McCubbin and 2019 World Rugby u20 Trophy duo Baltazar Amaya and José Iruleguy.

The two-day tournament begins this Saturday, December 7. Uruguay will compete against Salta, Lagos del Sur, and Tucumán in Pool C.
