Felipe Brangier leads Cóndores Sevens in Paraná

Cóndores Sevens stalwart Felipe Brangier will lead his country at the Seven de la República in Paraná this weekend. The 31-year-old spearheads a strong Chilean entry to the tournament that will face Argentine provincial outfits Córdoba, Entrerriana, and Cuyo in Pool A on Saturday.

The team features established stars Rodrigo Fernández and Lucas Westcott, with the Neira brothers – Felipe and Francisco – also named. Others also capped for the 15-a-side team are forwards Alfonso Escobar and Thomas Orchard and playmakers Benjamín Baraona and Luca Strabucchi.

Chile will use the tournament as preparation for the upcoming Olympic Repechage tournament, to take place at Biarritz, France, in June. Los Cóndores are one of three national sides who will compete in Parana with Uruguay featuring in Pool B of the top division and Paraguay in the second tier draw.
