Toulon sign Pumas winger Ramiro Moyano

Toulon have confirmed the signing of Pumas winger Ramiro Moyano. The speedster from Tucumán will arrive at the French Top 14 over the coming days to begin a contract which lasts until the completion of the 2019-2020 season.

In signing for Toulon Moyano will not play Super Rugby for Los Jaguares in 2020. He is the 6th Jaguar from the 2019 season to have departed to play in Europe in the new season. The move to France comes despite having previously been linked to the Bristol Bears in the UK.

The move will be Moyano’s first experience playing professional rugby for a foreign team. The 29-year-old from Tucumán has been in the Argentine system for the Pampas XV, and Jaguares.

At test level Moyano has 35 caps. Of them the last 22 were all in the starting line-up. His departure from Los Jaguares thereby sees a window of opportunities for Moyano’s spot to be claimed both in Super Rugby and in the test arena.
