Ramiro Moyano is the 6th name to leave Jaguares

Ramiro Moyano will not be playing Super Rugby in 2020. As such he is the 6th name to leave Los Jaguares ahead of the new campaign. His departure closely follows that of Enrique Pieretto to the Exeter Chiefs.

The destination of Moyano is close to being confirmed. Sources have indicated that he is to play for Toulon in the Top 14, thereby joining fellow ex-Jaguar Facundo Isa.

Ramiro Moyano was a member of the inaugural Jaguares team in 2016. It saw him selected for Los Pumas against a Tier 1 opponent for the first time that June. He previously had six caps from 2011-2014 against Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay but went on to earn 29 from 2016-2019 with the 22 most recent caps all being in the starting line-up.

For Los Jaguares Moyano made 40 appearances, sowing 17 tries. In the 2019 campaign he scored 7 tries. He formed a back-three with Emiliano Boffelli, and Matías Moroni. The same trio started against France in Argentina’s RWC 2019 opening fixture.

A replacement for Moyano will be confirmed shortly. It will mean a second rookie winger for 2020 following the recent signing of Mateo Carreras. The leading names for contracts are Julián Dominguez, Ignacio Mendy and Matías Osadchuk.
