An Argentine and a Canadian Start for Barbarians vs Fiji

An Argentine and a Canadian will start for the Barbarians vs Fiji on Saturday. Pumas prop Enrique Pieretto and Canadian captain Tyler Ardron are to be a part of a star-studded team who will have the honor of playing together as the Barbarians against the Flying Fijians.

Pieretto is one of three Argentine players on the roster though he is the only player named in the match. Both Bautista Ezcurra, and Santiago González Iglesias miss out though will have an opportunity for the Barbarians’ next match which is on Wednesday, November 20 against Brazil in São Paulo.

Ardron has been named to lock the scrum. He will partner Luke Jones in a strong second-row combination which will be up against the mobile Fijians.

Both Ardron and Pieretto play Super Rugby. The same is true of most of the team. Among those not contracted to a Super Rugby franchise is Frenchman Mathieu Bastareaud. He is on his way to Major League Rugby to play for Rugby United New York.
