Will Magie set for London Scottish debut

Will Magie will make his London Scottish debut against Yorkshire Carnegie on Friday. The US Eagles flyhalf has been named on the bench for their RFU Championship clash at the Athletic Ground. He signed for the club earlier this month after spending two seasons with the Glendale Raptors in Major League Rugby.

This won’t be the first time that Magie has played in the Championship. He made one appearance with Ealing during the 2013-14 season, and started one match for the Trailfinders in the British & Irish Cup in October 2016. The 28-year-old played for National One club Old Albanians during the 2014-15 campaign before joining the Denver Stampede of PRO in early 2016.

Magie recently traveled to his first World Cup with the USA, making one replacement appearance against France. He leaves Glendale after a frustrating season that saw him splitting playing time at No10 with Ata Malifa. The Raptors have since moved to sign former Ireland u20 cap Tomás Quinlan as a replacement.
