Montauban have signed Chilean prop Ramón Ayarza. The French Pro d2 side have acquired Ayarza from Top 14 side Bayonne as a medical joker. The Chilean arrives as cover for the injured Jordan Rochier.
The 26-year-old Ayarza has been in France for a substantial time. He spent four years with Bayonne in the Pro d2 and Top 14 as well as a season in the Fédérale 1 with ROC La Voulte Valence.
He is among Chile’s leading players and is the starting loose head prop for Los Cóndores when available. He has 13 test caps to his name at present.
