Bradley Davies to join Wales as Cory Hill drops out

Wales have confirmed that second row Cory Hill is set to return home from Japan after failing to recover sufficiently from a stress fracture in his fibula. The Dragons lock will be replaced by Bradley Davies from the Ospreys, who will arrive in Japan on Wednesday.

Hill has not played since February after injuring his ankle against England in the Six Nations. In Davies, Wales have a vastly experienced replacement. The 32-year-old has won 65 caps for his country and has already appeared in two World Cups.

Having beaten the Georgians convincingly yesterday, Wales will now prepare for their pivotal match against Australia on Sunday. The winner is favorite to top Pool D. A Wales loss would put them at the mercy of Fiji, who they will face on October 9 in Oita.
