Wesley Fofana Ruled Out of Facing Argentina

Wesley Fofana has been ruled out of facing Argentina. The star French inside center had been expected to be the starting number 12 against Los Pumas in Tokyo on Saturday. Instead rethinking will now be required.

Fofana is one of four centers on France’s roster. He is joined by Gael Fickou, Sofiane Guitoune,  and Virimi Vakatawa. Of them it is Fickou who is the likely player to now be the starting inside center.

The roster also contains utility possibilities. Of them is winger Damian Penaud who is a natural outside center; and Romain Ntamack who is a natural fly half.

France’s team to face Argentina will be named no later than 48 hours prior to kick-off. This means that it will be confirmed on Thursday morning prior to 4:15am (Argentina) which will be 4:15pm in Japan.
