Jack Evans leaves Toronto for Swansea

Jack Evans will not be playing for the Toronto Arrows in 2020. The 22-year-old has returned to Wales where he will suit up for Swansea in the Welsh Premiership while also joining the Ospreys u23 side.

Evans was born in Canada but grew up in Wales, playing for the country at age grade levels. He played for Scarlets at youth levels before joining the Gloucester academy, then had a brief spell with Cardiff RFC before signing for the Arrows ahead of the 2019 Major League Rugby season.

There was limited playing time for Evans in Toronto. He was the starting fullback in the first ever regular season game for the team in New Orleans but would start just once more with three appearances off the bench. A versatile back, he will also be covering centre for Swansea.
