In the final hit-out before the World Cup Mario Ledesma has named a predominantly first-choice side to take-on Randwick in Sydney, Australia. The match will be played on Saturday, at 1:20am Argentine time.
Starting in the pivotal number 10 shirt for Los Pumas will be Benjamín Urdapilleta. He will play outside Tomás Cubelli and inside Jaguares captain Jerónimo de la Fuente. The selection comes with Nicolás Sánchez having been erratic in the Rugby Championship and he also having suffered a hard knock from a Marcos Kremer tackle in training.
Aside from Urdapilleta the other selection in the backs that goes against the trends of 2019 is on the left wing. Jaguares rookie Santiago Carreras will start in place of Ramiro Moyano with Matías Moroni playing on the other wing.
At hooker Julián Montoya will start ahead of Agustín Creevy while Santiago Socino is to play for Randwick. Also getting game time for the Sydney club will be Enrique Pieretto with him to start opposite Mayco Vivas.
Vivas and Juan Figallo join Montoya in the front-row. They will have the regular starters, Tomás Lavanini and Guido Petti in the second-row with Juan Manuel Leguizamón, Marcos Kremer, and Tomás Lezana completing the forward formation. Pablo Matera and Javier Ortega Desio are being rested.
