Mexico Ready For Americas Rugby Challenge

Mexico is ready for the Americas Rugby Challenge (ARCh). Las Serpientes’ Head Coach Ruben Duque has selected a roster of 26 players to compete in the second division of Americas regional competition.

Mexico join the Cayman Islands in representing Rugby Americas North while Colombia, and Paraguay are the Sudamérica Rugby representatives. Of the four competitors the one change from the inaugural ARCh in 2018 sees the Cayman Islands replacing Guyana.

As was the case in 2018 the 2019 ARCh will take place in Medellín, Colombia. Played over three match days all teams will play one test match against each other. For Mexico the competition will begin on Sunday, August 25 against Paraguay.

Las Serpientes’ second match will be against the number one seeds, Colombia on Wednesday, August 28. They will then finish the ARCh against their Rugby Americas North rivals, the Cayman Islands on Saturday, August 31.
