Glasgow opportunity for Jack Iscaro

Old Glory front rower Jack Iscaro has been handed a short-term training contract with the Glasgow Warriors. The 21-year-old will spent the next few months with the Guinness Pro 14 side before returning to Washington in December ahead of the expansion team’s first Major League Rugby campaign.

Comfortable at both loosehead prop and hooker, Iscaro earned All-American honors in High School while at Gonzaga College and u20 level with the Cal Golden Bears. The Olney, Maryland, native played age-grade club rugby for the Maryland Exiles. He comes from a rugby family – his father Paolo represented Italy and older brother Andrew was a High School All-American.

The arrangement comes as a result of the partnership between Old Glory and the Scottish Rugby Union confirmed in March and is the first individual exchange. An exhibition match against the Scotland u20s was part of DC’s spring exhibition series.
