Matt Harmon signs NOLA extension

All-American front row forward Matt Harmon has signed a two-year contract extension with the NOLA Gold. It keeps the 23-year-old with the club through the 2021 Major League Rugby season and follows previous extensions of Tristan Blewett, Eric Howard, Nikola Bursic, Kyle Baillie, and JP Eloff.

Harmon joined NOLA at the end of an impressive collegiate career. After captaining the Kansas Jayhawks as a freshman in 2016, he transferred to Life and was a standout across three seasons with the Running Eagles. He was named a 1st team Collegiate All-American in 2018.

This past season Harmon appeared in 13 games for the Gold. He holds the unique distinction of being the only player in MLR history to have started at all three front row positions.
