Eloff signs two-year extension with NOLA

JP Eloff will be wearing Gold for at least two more seasons. The 28-year-old has extended his contract through the 2021 Major League Rugby season and is the latest in a string of re-signings following Tristan Blewett, Eric Howard, Nikola Bursic, and Kyle Baillie.

After appearing in all 16 matches for NOLA during the 2019 campaign and acting as vice-captain, Eloff was considered by many to be unlucky not to be included in Gary Gold’s USA squad for the Pacific Nations Cup. While playing primarily at fullback he also lined up at flyhalf and center and was fifth in MLR scoring with 141 points.

The Gold are yet to unveil any new signings. Meanwhile loan additions Tadhg Leader and Alex Maughan will play for the New England Free Jacks and Rugby ATL respectively in 2020, while Tony Lamborn – who played just once for NOLA – spent the end of the season training with the Melbourne Rebels.
