Rugby Championship Highlights – South Africa vs Australia

South Africa completed a bonus point victory over Australia to open the 2019 Rugby Championship. While the scale win was of note what was even more significant was that Head Coach Rassie Erasmus fielded an under-strength side, allowing them to be even better next weekend against New Zealand.

One name to stand out was debutant Herschel Jantjies. The scrum half ran in two tries and was solid in general play. Also impressing on his Rugby Championship debut was S’bu Nkosi who scored one try.

The final score of 35-17 saw South Africa not only winning comfortably but also outscoring the Wallabies by five tries to two.
