Colombia to face Brazil in Historic First Women’s Test Match

Colombia are to face Brazil in a historic first Women’s rugby test match. The international between Las Tucanes and As Yaras will take place in Medellín, the heartland of Colombian rugby.

The match is to be played on August 25 at the Estadio Cincuentenario. It is the same venue which played host to the 2018 Americas Rugby Challenge (ARCh) and will also host this year’s tournament.

The special Women’s international will be played as a celebration with the match being put in together as part of a triple header. In round one of the ARCh Colombia face the Cayman Islands while Mexico face Paraguay. These two Men’s internationals are now to follow the Women’s clash of Colombia vs Brazil.
