Brazil Crowned South American U18 Champions

Brazil have been crowned the South American U18 Champions. As Yaras went unbeaten this weekend in Santiago, Chile in both the round matches and the knock-out matches.

The South American U18s this year featured four countries – Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and hosts Chile. All countries faced each other once with the top two meeting in the Final and the remaining two contesting the Bronze Final.

On day one Brazil defeated Chile 32-10, and Argentina 17-0 to position itself as the clear favorites for the title. It would be confirmed by As Yaras in their opening match of day two wherein they defeated Paraguay 26-7.

Argentina wicked begin by defeating Paraguay 36-0 but would fall to Brazil on day one. A 20-12 win on day two over Chile would see Argentina going on to face Brazil in the final.

The Bronze Final would see Paraguay completing their second win of the tournament. Both Paraguayan wins came against Chile with Bronze being sealed via a 24-15 scoreline.
