The 2019 Major League Rugby season came to a close on Sunday. A sold-out crowd at Torero Stadium were treated to a captivating Championship Final between the home-town favorite San Diego Legion and the defending champion Seattle Seawolves. The winner was not decided until the 80th minute of play.
Neither side altered their rosters from their Semi Final victories. Both were missing internationals – the likes of Mike Te’o and Dylan Audsley for the Legion, Olive Kilifi and William Rasileka for the Seawolves – but both lineups remained full of high caliber talent.
