In their final regular season match of 2019 Los Jaguares played host to the Sunwolves. The Argentina vs Japan Super Rugby fixture saw the South Americans completing a comfortable victory, and with it they confirmed themselves as a team that has the potential of damaging the historical roots of the Australian-New Zealander-South African competition.
The line-up selected by Head Coach Gonzalo Quesada for the fixture was far from being the genuine product. 12 changes were made from last weekend’s win over the Sharks. The personal changes reflected the needs of player management and also confidence as the team has done extremely well in 2019.
The win over the Sunwolves confirms a second visit to the play-off’s. The challenge is to now do better than in 2018 when the Mario Ledesma coached side were on the losing side of a Quarter Final.
