Sudamérica Challenge u18s – Day 2 Results

The second, and final, day of the Sudamérica Challenge took place today in Montevideo, Uruguay. It saw the u18 sides from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay competing to be the South American champion.

Entering day 2 as unseated teams were Argentina, and Uruguay. The same two sides would ultimately meet in the tournament final which was won by Argentina in a 28-0 shut-out.

Getting to the final saw Argentina defeating Chile 43-7, and Paraguay 68-3 on day one. Uruguay, meanwhile, defeated Brazil 39-0, and Chile 20-12 on the opening day of the competition.

On day two Argentina started with an emphatic 62-0 win over Chile while Uruguay were 34-5 winners over Paraguay .

Finishing as the third best would be Chile who claimed wins against Both Brazil, and Paraguay on day two. Brazil finished 4th, ahead of Paraguay whom they defeated on day one.

The Sudamérica Challenge was a special competition in which matches were played with two twenty minute halves.
