Jaguares Rocked by Double Injury Blow

In the lead-up to the home stretch of the Super Rugby season Los Jaguares have been rocked by a double injury blow. Both Ramiro Moyano, and Tomás Lezana have both been confirmed on the sidelines, adding to the list of missing Jaguares names.

Moyano was injured playing against the Reds on Saturday. Having taken a knock to his leg he was forced off early as a precaution. Since returning to Argentina tests have confirmed that is was not a knock but, rather, an injury.

The extent of the injury means Moyano is out for the rest of the Super Rugby season. He will require up to six weeks recovery time which may yet see his involvement in the early stages of the Rugby Championship in doubt.

Also out of action is flanker Tomás Lezana. His diagnosis is better with him requiring 10 days recovery. What this means is that he will not face the Sharks this coming weekend, and is in doubt against the Sunwolves six days later.

Sebastián Cancelliere is fit-again and trained normally with the roster today in Buenos Aires. He is expected to start against the Sharks on Saturday with Santiago Carreras playing on the other wing.

No player has been called-up to replace Lezana. Guido Petti will continue to be considered as an option covering flanker for the remainder of the regular season.
