Madison Hughes named in Paris Dream Team

Madison Hughes earned selection to the official HSBC Dream Team for the Paris Sevens on Sunday. The USA captain was in top form, leading the Men’s Eagles to a 4th-place finish to see the team close out second overall on the season. Hughes kept the team on track following the serious leg injury suffered by star playmaker Folau Niua on Day One.

Six countries contributed to the select side. Joining Hughes in the backs are South Africa’s Muller du Plessis, Fiji’s outstanding Vilimoni Botitu, and one of two New Zealanders in the team, Andrew Knewstubb. The other is forward Scott Curry, with Kenya veteran Andrew Amonde and retiring England star James Rodwell also named up front.
