Brazil Qualify for 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games

Brazil has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. As Yaras went unbeaten in the qualifying competition this weekend in Lima, Peru to underline their favoritism and secure their place on the big stage next year.

As Yaras were winners of Group A on Day One, finishing as the top side in the pool which also contained host Peru in addition to Guatemala, Paraguay, and Venezuela. Group B was comprised of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Uruguay.

The ten sides were competing not only to qualify for Tokyo 2020 but also for the 2019 Pan American Games. Argentina, Brazil, and Peru (hosts) went into this weekend’s qualifying tournament already with their places confirmed for Lima 2020. The final spot at the games was claimed by Colombia who lost 21-15 to Brazil in the Final.
