Stephen Tomasin named to London Dream Team

US Eagles standout Stephen Tomasin has been named to the official HSBC Dream Team for the London Sevens. The hooker scored two tries in the tournament but has been recognized for his all-around contributions. His efforts as a link player on offense and a tireless defender helped the USA to a Bronze Final win to keep the Eagles in the hunt for the overall series title.

It’s the third time this season Tomasin has been recognized in the select side as voted by the commentary team. He was named to the side along with Madison Hughes in the Sydney tournament, and was the only USA player picked in Vancouver.

Rounding out the forwards are Pierre-Gilles Lakafia of France and Fiji’s Meli Derenalagi. Cup-winning playmaker Jerry Tuwai also makes the grade with a pair of Australians – Maurice Longbottom and Henry Hutchison. New Zealand’s Andrew Knewstubb completes the backs.
