NOLA Gold sign Welsh prop Ross Davies

The NOLA Gold have added another front row player to their stable for the remainder of the Major League Rugby season. Having recently signed USA international Alex Maughan, the Gold have now acquired veteran Welsh prop Ross Davies from the Dallas Reds.

At 35 years old, Davies is in the twilight of his career but brings an extensive professional CV to the club. His long list of club associations include Newbridge, Neath, Ospreys, and RGC 1404 in Wales, as well as Ampthill, Sale, Worcester, Rotherham, and Doncaster in England. While primarily a tighthead he is also comfortable on the loosehead side of the scrum.

Davies also boasts international experience having represented Wales at age grade level, winning a u21 Six Nations Grand Slam in 2005. He has also suited up for the Barbarians, playing for the famed invitational side against in the Mobbs Memorial match against Bedford in 2011.
