Cordero Wins Exeter Chiefs Player of the Year Award

Santiago Cordero has been voted as the Exeter Chiefs best player of the season. The Argentine fullback or wing won the award based on voting from his peers at the English Premiership club.

Cordero’s try against Castres was also commended with it being deemed as the best score of the 2018-2019 season for the Exeter Chiefs.

The speedster from Buenos Aires is into his final weeks at the Exeter Chiefs. He will join Bordeaux to continue his professional career in the French Top 14. His contract officially begins in July though his first appearance may well not be until November.

Despite presently recovering from injury the 25-year-old is well placed to feature for Argentina this year. Los Pumas will play in the Rugby Championship before the ultimate stage, the Rugby World Cup. Cordero was the starting right winger in RWC 2015 and his form in England sees him on track to play in Japan in the 2019 tournament which begins in September.
