World Rugby has appointed the referees for Romania, and Spain’s upcoming tours to South America. The five test matches in the continent are to all to be refereed by South American officials with Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay to each feature.
Brazil’s leading official, Henrique Platais, will take charge of Chile vs Romania. While he has been officiating for a number of years him being allocated this match is genuinely groundbreaking. Of note is that he will be required to referee it in English.
