Ardron at lock for Chiefs against Sharks

Tyler Ardron will play lock for the Chiefs when they host the Sharks at FMG Stadium on Saturday. The Canadian international has been in top form for the Super Rugby franchise this season, playing both second row and his preferred position of No8.

The Chiefs have started to rebound after a poor start to the season but remain at the bottom of the New Zealand conference. Only the Sunwolves are lower overall, with injuries to key players wreaking havoc on the hopes of the Hamilton-based side this season.

Incumbent skipper Brodie Retallick remains sidelined after damaging ligaments in his wrist, while fellow All Blacks star Damian McKenzie is out for the season with a torn ACL. Sam Cane is nearing a return from a serious neck injury and hooker Nathan Harris has only recently recovered from his own knee complaint.

Kickoff is set for 7:35pm local time, 3:35am Eastern. Canadians can watch live on TSN Go.
