Canada ready to defend home turf in Langford

Canada’s Women’s Sevens team is ready to take to the field at the Langford event of the HSBC Sevens Series this weekend. Coming off their memorable win at Kitakyushu, coach John Tait has named an identical roster for the tournament that takes place in their own backyard at Westhills Stadium.

Returning star Karen Paquin and captain Ghislaine Landry were both named in the Kitakyushu Dream Team. Bianca Farella meanwhile earned Player of the Year honors at the recent Rugby Canada year end awards banquet.

The team headlines Pool A this weekend and will compete against Australia, Ireland, and Brazil. A full match schedule can be seen here. All matches will be broadcast live on the CBC Sports website.
