Brazil Crowned Sudamérica Forúm Sevens Champions

Brazil have been crowned champions of the 2019 Forúm Sudamérica Sevens. The competition was a regional event to serve as a warm-up ahead of Lima 2019, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.

Played in Asunción, Paraguay As Yaras eased through the competition, winning all of their matches to continue to be the leading force in the South American women’s game.

The tournament involved nine Women’s Sevens side from the regional governing body that is Sudamérica Rugby. They were divided into three pools of three with Brazil joined Costa Rica, and Uruguay in Pool A; Argentina, Paraguay, and Paraguay formed Pool B; while Pool C contained Chile, Guatemala, and Peru.
