It’s the final round of the season for the RFU Championship and there’s only some mid-table final rankings to be sorted. London Irish have clinched promotion while Richmond are doomed for National One. All six matches will take place on Saturday with only three involving Americas players.
Two familiar foes will go head-to-head in the lineout at Castle Park. Eagles lock Nick Civetta starts what is likely his last game in a Doncaster jersey, with Canadian counterpart Brett Beukeboom captaining the Cornish Pirates for the 22nd time this season.
At Bedford it will be two international flyhalves as opposites. Canada’s Shane O’Leary runs out for visiting Nottingham, with the USA’s Will Hooley calling the shots for the Blues. Former Arrows scrumhalf Alex Gliksten will partner Hooley, with Canadian flanker Justin Blanchet to make his final Blues appearance from the bench.
Ben Landry is set to depart Ealing in the off-season. He’ll line up at lock against London Irish with one-time Jaguares cap Segundo Tuculet getting a rare start at outside center. This is just the fourth start of the season for Tuculet, with pastures new likely for 2019-20.
