Canadian Tyler Ardron has been named to start the Good Friday Super Rugby clash. He will do so in the second-row for the Chiefs who are to have home advantage against the Lions in Hamilton, New Zealand.
The fixture sees scrum-half Brad Weber named to captain the side in place of co-captains Brodie Retallick and Sam Cane. It is to be Weber’s 65th match for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs are coming off a heroic 33-29 win over the Blues last weekend. Ardron joined Retallick in the second-row for that match. This time around he will be joined by Mitchell Brown, a player with 28 prior Super Rugby appearances.
For Ardron the Good Friday fixture is to be his 18th Super Rugby match. The Canadian has received plenty of praise for his performances both this season, and last.
