Americas Rankings – April 14 2019

The Americas Rankings – April 14 2019 have been calculated to take into account the result of this weekend’s test match between the Turks & Caicos Islands and the Dominican Republic.

The fixture was the opening match of the 2019 Rugby Americas North (RAN) North Cup, and it was a classic. The Dominican Republic were on course for an away victory only for the Turks & Caicos Islands to strike a late blow. Their final minute try gave them a 24-20 home victory.

Pre-match the Turks & Caicos Islands had a ranking of 34.04 points, and the Dominican Republic 28.46. The updated Americas Rankings see the teams exchanging 0.14 rankings points which means the Turks & Caicos Islands rise to 34.18 points and the Dominican Republic fall to 28.32 points.

The respective slight rise and fall is insufficient to see any overall positional changes in the Americas Rankings. This will likely change in later RAN North Cup matches due to the remaining competitor, the British Virgin Islands, being ranked on 29.48 points at present.
