MLR Full Match – San Diego Legion vs Austin Elite

Sunday evening’s match between the San Diego Legion and Austin Elite saw 9 tries and 60 points put up on the board between the two sides. It capped a wild weekend of Major League Rugby action that could have significant implications in the playoff race.

San Diego started Olympic gold medalist Jasa Veremalua at lock in the absence of suspended Keni Nasoqeqe, while handing Save Totovosau just his second start of the campaign. Austin were still in search of their first win of the season and swapped in Chilean scrumhalf Marcelo Torrealba and Canadian center Doug Fraser.
