Santiago Cordero glides through against Leicester Tigers

Santiago Cordero continued his fine season for the Exeter Chiefs on Saturday. The Argentine international glided through the defense vs the Leicester Tigers to score a superb individual try. In general play the outside back also had a strong match as he continues to look like playing for Los Pumas at RWC 2019.

Cordero’s try would be the 6th of the match for the Exeter Chiefs. It was a part of a dominant performance in which the Leicester Tigers slumped to a 52-20 home defeat. With four rounds remaining the Tigers are in grave danger of relegation. Meanwhile the Exeter Chiefs have confirmed a home Semi Final.

The Argentine speedster has been a regular in the Chiefs’ side all season. Starting at both wing, and fullback he has been a threat to all opposition, a point which makes him arguably the form Argentine winger in 2019.

While Mario Ledesma has said he will prioritize Jaguares’ players over those based abroad it is undeniable that Cordero is on track to be selected. Both starting Jaguares’ wingers are presently injured with Bautista Delguy’s season over and Ramiro Moyano out for an unspecified period.

Cordero will join Bordeaux next season but before then he may well secure himself an English Premiership title.
