The schedule for the 2019 World Rugby Nations Cup has been confirmed. Uruguay will once again act as tournament hosts with all matches taking place at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo. Four teams will compete in a round-robin format with three games played over the course of 11 days.
This year’s competition will feature test sides from Namibia and Russia, who along with Los Teros will be competing at the Rugby World Cup in Japan. The fourth team was originally intended to be Romania, but will now instead be the Argentina XV, the only other returning side from 2018.
Last year’s tournament featured only one full international side with Emerging Italy and the Fiji Warriors also taking part. Uruguay have won the last two editions of the Nations Cup, winning all three matches in 2018 including a 26-20 victory over the Argentina XV.
