Urdapilleta shines for Castres in win over La Rochelle

Benjamín Urdapilleta impressed yet again for Castres, helping the team to a 25-11 home win over La Rochelle on Saturday. The Argentine fly half slotted 12 points from three penalties and a drop goal.

The win takes Castres up to 58 competition points to tie Racing 92. Overall the defending champions are presently in 5th position while La Rochelle have fallen to 8th.

Urdapilleta was a vital cog for Castres last season, earning man-of-the-match honors in both the Top 14 Semi Final and Final. It did not go unnoticed by Mario Ledesma who met with Urdapilleta in Castres last month to discuss his plans for Japan.

It appears highly likely that Urdapilleta will be selected for the World Cup as a specialist fly half along with Nicolás Sánchez. Both play their rugby in France.
