Cóndores ready for Hong Kong Sevens

Chile have confirmed their 12-man roster to compete in the Core Qualifying bracket of the Hong Kong Sevens. In securing their spot as champions of the Sudamerica Sevens Series, the Cóndores will enter the tournament as one of the top seeds in search of the HSBC Sevens Series core spot on offer.

The team has received a major boost with the return of inspirational captain Felipe Brangier for the critical event, though veteran forward Martín Verschae misses out. Other changes to the roster from the team that played in Vancouver see Pablo Byers and Juan Pablo Larenas replaced by Francisco Neira and Santiago Videla.

Los Cóndores have been drawn in Pool G along with Germany, Uganda, and the Cook Islands. Other top competitors include Hong Kong and Tonga in Pool E, with both Ireland and Russia expected to challenge for promotion in Pool F.
