Chiappesoni try helps keep Colomiers hopes alive

A second half try from Argentine flanker Martín Chiappesoni helped Colomiers to a 27-9 win over Carcassonne on Friday evening. The result pushes Colomiers to 48 points on the Pro D2 table. It still keeps them in the relegation zone but they are now just three points behind 14th place Bressane and safety with four rounds to go.

Chiappesoni has been a regular with the former Heineken Cup finalists since joining from Dax in the off-season. He could be on the look-out for pastures new should Colomiers fall to Fédérale 1. Fellow Argentines Agustín Costa Repetto and Sebastián Poet would also be affected be relegation.
