MLR Full Match – NOLA Gold vs Austin Elite

New Orleans fans were treated to one of the best matches of the Major League Rugby season on Saturday as the NOLA Gold played host to the Austin Elite. It was a thoroughly engaging spectacle that saw 10 tries split between the two sides and a number of scoring opportunities thwarted in a game that would not be decided until the final play.

Four Americas countries were represented with players from Canada, Chile, and Uruguay also present. Austin handed first MLR starts to LaRome White and Aidan McMullan, with Doug Fraser making his professional debut. Nikola Bursic got his first start of the season for NOLA, with Kevin O’Connor making his debut off the bench.
