Javier Díaz has joined the Jaguares injury list. The loose head prop will not play against the Chiefs this coming weekend and nor will be for a further two weeks. Díaz suffered a tear in the plantar fascia his heel of the right foot in training.
The 23-year-old from Tucumán impressed in his debut Super Rugby season in 2018. This saw him playing Los Pumas’ three June Internationals, including ahead of Santiago García Botta against Scotland.
The match would see him injured and he would subsequently be ruled out for the year while in South Africa for the final rounds of the Super Rugby season.
His recovery is over though he is yet to play in the 2019 Super Rugby season. He joins former captain Agustín Creevy in being sidelined until the next tour to South Africa.
