Women’s Super Series to return in San Diego

The top five teams on the World Rugby rankings will head to San Diego in June to participate in the Women’s Rugby Super Series. It’s a revival of a competition that last took place in 2016 but did not return following the 2017 World Cup.

A round-robin format will see each team playing four games between June 28 and July 14 on five different competition days. The first four rounds will take place at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, with the fifth and final round held at Torero Stadium.

This is the first time the series will include five teams. The 2015 edition included hosts Canada, England, New Zealand, and the USA. In 2016 the USA hosted with Canada, England, and France taking part.

All matches will be broadcast live on FloRugby.
