The 2018-2019 Top 14 season has been another one of a wide range of competitiveness. 19 rounds have been played and yet only three competition points separate 3rd from 7th. Toulouse hold a commanding lead though, a potential strong point for France’s test side moving forward.
Opening week 20 will be Lyon against Toulon. Both teams have named RWC hopeful Pumas in their starting line-ups. Francisco Gómez Kodela will play tight head for Lyon while Facundo Isa will be on the flank for Toulon again his former club.
The next fixture will see Canadian Taylor Paris starting on the right wing for Castres. His club will be playing in Paris away to Stade Français. The fixture is to put Argentina’s two leading fly halves head-to-head with incumbent Nicolás Sánchez playing opposite Benjamín Urdapilleta as the starting players wearing 10.
In the south-west Agen are looking to move further away from the relegation zone. Gaining points will be difficult as they have a tough home match against the second placed Clermont. Agen go into the game with Colombian Andrés Zafra starting in the second-row while Puma Facundo Bosch will be the replacement hooker.
Concluding week 20 will be two Sunday fixtures. In Paris Racing 92 play host to Bordeaux while on the atlantic coast La Rochelle are at home against Toulouse. Line-ups for these fixtures will be announced on Saturday afternoon.
