MLR Highlights – Rugby United New York vs Toronto Arrows

History was made in Brooklyn on Friday evening when Rugby United New York played their first ever Major League Rugby home game against the Toronto Arrows at MCU Park. The venue itself was unique, with a baseball diamond on the pitch and a roller coaster in the backdrop. Fans were treated to a thrilling match was wasn’t decided until the final whistle.

New York featured the return of Eagles duo John Quill and Luke Hume, the latter an unexpected starter after Connor Wallace-Sims was a late withdrawal. Toronto welcomed back Lucas Rumball and Cole Keith from Canada and gave a first MLR start to Uruguayan winger Gastón Mieres.
